The JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA ,Malappuram,Kerala was established in 1988, run by NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA SAMITI an autonomous  organisation under Ministry of MHRD. This school's permanent campus is located at Oorakam Village , Malappuram . The vidyalaya is administered and monitored by Hyderabad regional office of Navodaya Vidyalaya Smiti.

Admission to JNV Malappuram at class VI level is made through selection test  called JNVST conducted by Navodaya Vidyalaya Smiti.

JNV Malappuram is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education with affiliation and, following the curriculum prescribed by CBSE.
